Evergreen Rural Water of Washington, a non-profit association, equal opportunity employer, is seeking a Wastewater Technician to provide technical assistance to rural and small communities throughout the state.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Multiyear experience in operating and / or managing a rural and / or small municipal wastewater system including wastewater system management needs and methods of meeting those needs and collection system maintenance experience.
  2. WWTPO 1 – Certification in Washington State
  3. Applicant must have reliable transportation and possess a valid Washington State driver’s license (with proper insurance coverage) as this position involves travel and overnight stays.

Wastewater Supervisor

Wastewater Supervisor Salary Range: $5107 - $6267/month, plus excellent benefits Closes: 5:00 PM, Friday, July 30, 2010

The City of Wenatchee is currently accepting applications for the position of Wastewater System Supervisor.  The Supervisor manages the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the sanitary sewer system including the wastewater treatment plant, collections, biosolids treatment, and lift stations.    The supervisor also determines operating procedures, assigns and supervises personnel, oversees safety, complies with regulations for the plant, related facilities, equipment and procedures.  The Wastewater System Supervisor must show strong leadership and support a team approach.  The following education/experience is required:

  • Minimum of 5 (five) years experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant or a combination of experience and relevant technical training or college coursework.
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years experience in personnel supervision.
  • Possession of a valid Group III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate.
  • Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance carrier.
