Technical Assistance
Our federal funding allows us to provide free-of-charge, on-site training and technical assistance to water and wastewater systems in Washington State. Our field staff are professionals in the fields of water and wastewater systems operation and maintenance, and source water protection.
Water System Technical Assistance
On-site technical assistance is provided to small drinking water systems through ERWoW’s Circuit Rider Program. Training and assistance is given in the areas of management and operation and maintenance of water systems. Through this program ERWoW helps systems evaluate and eliminate potential health and environmental problems. In addition, ERWoW facilitates networking between Washington’s rural systems in an effort to disseminate information on successful operation and maintenance techniques.
Wastewater System Technical Assistance
Evergreen Rural Water of Washington’s Wastewater Technical Assistance Program provides help to small, rural wastewater systems in treatment and in system operation and maintenance. Through on-site assistance, ERWoW helps systems in complying with federal and state mandates, in ensuring financial viability of the system and in addressing wastewater related environmental challenges that affect the system.
Source Water Protection
The Source Water Protection Program is set to assist communities served by public water systems with highly or moderately susceptible drinking water sources to reduce or eliminate potential risks to drinking water supplies through development and implementation of Source Water Protection Plans.
